Sports > Cross Country Skiing
Cross Country Skiing was one of the 10 sports selected for the integral
games in 1970. We are estimating to have over 150 participants from
7 different contingents including Alaska, Alberta North, Yukon, NWT,
Greenland, Sami, and Yamal. All Cross country ski races, as well as
all snowshoe and ski competitions, will be held at the Yellowknife Ski
Club. This facility includes a 10 lane the biathlon range, 14
kilometers of challenging trails, stadium areas for both cross country
and biathlon events and warm up areas. Approximately 2 kilometers of
trail are lit during the winter for night skiing.
