How do I apply to become a volunteer?
Go to the Volunteer tab on our website and Sign up now! You will be directed to the online registration system. The form will guide you through the process to identify your interest and availability times.
Do I need an e-mail address to register?
No. If you do not have access to an email account, please contact the Games Administration Office at 867-765-2947 or toll free 1-877-994-2008.
Can two people register with the same e-mail address?
Yes. You will require your own user number I.D. and password in order to edit your application form, but you may receive your information through the same e-mail.
How will I know you have received the completed application form?
Upon submission of your application, you will be immediately notified by e-mail that your application has been received.
I receive an error message when I try to submit my on-line application, what should I do?
Scroll to the top of the application page and look for a warning message directing your attention to a potential problem and/or review your application for any missing required fields (noted in red font). After updating changes, click on the “Submit Application” button.
Will my personal information be stored securely?
Yes. The 2008 Arctic Winter Games Host Society will keep all personal information confidential and secure.
We will only use the information to assign you as a volunteer; to accredit you as a volunteer and to communicate with you about the Games and related activities.
Why do I need an on-line password?
When you apply on-line, a password is required to re-enter and edit or update your information. The password process also ensures that information you enter is kept private and confidential. Be sure to choose a password that you will remember!
What if I forget my ID and password?
If you forget your user name and password, please contact us at volunteers@awg2008.org. We will require you to answer a few security questions; we will then forward your User ID number and/or reset your password. Remember to change your password once it has been reset.
Can I edit my application form on-line?
Yes, follow these steps:
1. Click here to Login .
2. Enter your Login and Password. Press OK.
3. Select "volunteer registration" link on the left hand side.
You will now see your application form.
Is there a deadline for applying?
No. But it is to your advantage to submit your application as early as possible so that we can assign you to the volunteer position based on your preferences. We may choose a cut-off date at a later time once we find we have enough volunteers to fill all required positions.
Who do I call if I am having difficulties completing the application form?
